Episode 1 – Sasha Dees on Nexus: Video and New Media Art from the Caribbean at MoCA Taipei

CCSCA students Pooja Seshadri and GS Young invite Sasha Dees, a producer, curator and writer active globally in the arts, to share more on her recently published study Entangled Species: Conversations on Contemporary Art in the Caribbean. Dees was visiting Taiwan to work with MoCA Taipei on the exhibition NEXUS, a presentation of new media and video art featuring Christopher Cozier, Maksaens Denis, Nadia Huggins, Sharelly Emanuelson, Rodell Warner, Sofía Gallisá Muriente & Natalia Lassalle-Morillo. Dees chronicles her ongoing research in the Caribbean art community and the importance of bringing Taiwan into dialogue with the Caribbean.
